When fasting we seek Gods face by drawing close to him for specific answer to prayers. Fasting heightens the earnestness and seriousness of the particular prayer being said.
She fasted and prayed for 40 days and he only appropriate way for her to acknowledge what the Lord did in the life of her husband is to say ‘they have been redeemed’. Ps 107:2
Why do you or do you not give a testimony immediately after receiving a breakthrough? Sometimes we want to be sure it is authentic. At other times it is better to know how to leave out unnecessary details so much time is spent preparing how to give. the testimony. Humility is the attitude we should have when giving a testimony so that the glory will go to whom it is due. Matt 17:3212
Self indulgence in whatever form does not yield lasting pleasure nor is it enjoyable all the time. How do you feel when after accepting the Lord Jesus Christ into your life you realise you cannot go back to your old ways? How do others see your new stance? Do we believe in prophesies? Do we trust in God enough to believe he can speak to us through others?

“Even when we don’t see anything God works behind the scenes” she says. That is how their lives changed as she continued to trust God and work out her salvation. Phil 2:12
How do we sometimes pray wrongly?
There are several testimonies of how one can pray for several years for loved ones to turn to the Lord. Not giving up is key to success.
What are some of the positive things we have gained from covid 19 and the lockdowns? She says her living room was literally a church on Sundays. Have you ever heard a preacher and felt he was speaking to you? She started a 40 day fast with prayer. Do you notice what happens when you are fasting. How does your situation change? As you fast and pray, things can get better from God, or worse from the devil. What is your countenance like when you are fasting? Mathew 6:16
Did you notice that sometimes you get a strong urge to fast and pray when you have no plan of doing so? So you start doing it only to find out from unfolding circumstances, that you needed the strength of spirit and mind for the unforeseen battle that was to come your way. Zech 4:6 ‘not by power nor by might but by my spirit says the Lord’ can best describe the spiritual battle that goes on during prayer and fasting. One man of God says he wakes up with no intention fasting only to encounter a situation that requires that he undergoes a fast. We seem to have similar experiences as christians.
Show thyself true to the Lord and He will show himself true to you, she says. How God works! Note the time lapse between when she fasted alone and compare it with when her husband joined her. Is it possible to go on a weekly fast?
Indeed God will leave the 99 and look for the one sinner that was lost; and with God nothing shall be impossible. Lk 1:37.
What joy we have when our prayer for those we want to win are answered. Js 5:16.
Fasting with prayer does leads to victory over problems. As can be related to the account in 2 Chronicles 20:15-17 where King Jehoshaphat and his people fasted and prayed before they went into battle leading to their victory. Esther also fasted as found in chapter 4:16.
Fasting and prayer is right for us in this dispensation of Christ. In Acts 1:1-3, the disciples fasted and prayed as they sought direction from the Lord. This is a worthy example for us.
