Have you noticed that evil is the opposite of everything
that God stands for? For example, The devil comes not
but to steal, kill and destroy; but Christ comes that we may
have life and have it abundantly – in other words, God
comes to heal, love, mend and restore.
For touching the curtain of the temple, you can never get
close to God, the priest told her; – but the curtain was
torn into two for us. Mathew. 27:51. We have access to
God, we can touch him, we can boldly enter the throne
room of grace in time of need, through the blood of our
Lord Jesus Christ. Heb.4:16
The value of witnessing for Christ
She remembered that she was once given a tract and a Christmas card that said Jesus saves. “From what?” she asked herself? well, it did not matter since she wanted to be healed from sickness. It is necessary we share the word of God with others because truly you do not know at what point a person would need him, whether for healing from a disease or for salvation from sin. She also thought she already had several gods but well it may not matter to this Jesus. Isn’t it true that Jesus is the only way?
Ridiculous as it may sound several testimonies point to this truth; and He does hear when we call out to him out of a pure heart.
Persecution for the sake of Christ
Then another battle begins. A battle for the truth to prevail. You may lose family and friends, even inheritance when you accept Christ. Our battle is for the truth to prevail. It is our unspoken testimony that speaks and shows the changes in our lives and gives the necessary conviction to observers.
The very first day after accepting Christ, her parents could not force her to go to the temple with them. She was however later rejected by them and she left home to stay with Christians. After some years the whole family turns to Christ. “but even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed…” 1 Peter 3:14
We live in a sinful world, but God’s eyes are range throughout the earth to strengthen these whose hearts are fully committed to him 2 Chron.16:9
